Conference European Union of Science Journalists’ Association (EUSJA) and the Austrian Club of Education and Science Journalists

The Austrian Club of Education and Science Journalists is organising the international congress „Institutes of Excellence in Europe. The Austrian Approach“ („Exzellenz-Institute in Europa. Der österreichische Ansatz“) from 26 to 29 November 2007. The conference languages are German and English with simultaneous translation. It is intended that the Congress offers a forum to discuss the prospects of an EU-country - and Austria and its new advanced-institute in particular - with respect to European policy in the fields of research, technology and innovation.

We are pleased that many distinguished speakers have accepted our invitation, including representatives from the EU-Commission, universities in USA, Germany and Austria as well as the Austrian Minister of Science ans Research and the Austrian Minister of Innovation and Technology.

The Austrian Club will bear the expenses within Austria (local transportation, accomodation, meals and conference fee) for two colleagues from every EUSJA country. If your country has a higher interest, let us know.

IMPORTANT: We need your announcement at latest Monday 12 November 2007. Thank you.

With best regards
